What is UV DTF printing?
UV DTF (Direct-to-Film) printing is a printing process in which ink is directly applied to a thin film substrate, such as vinyl, rather than printing on paper and then transferring the image to the film. The ink used in UV DTF printing is UV-cured ink that cures instantaneously when exposed to UV light. This results in a high-resolution, high-quality print that resists fading, wetness, and abrasion.
UV DTF printing uses specialized printheads to jet ink directly onto the film, and then the printed film is exposed to UV light to rapidly cure the ink. This procedure yields a finished product that is immediately usable and has great durability and color fastness.
